Geographic location: Uruguay is located in the same latitude as the main forestry ventures in the South hemisphere. The weather conditions and the soil ensure very good levels of international competitiveness.
Wood supply: Uruguay has a large volume of forests and supply of pine wood.
Logistic infrastructure: the country has a vast and thick road infrastructure that connects the main production centers with the stockpile beaches and main ports in the country. From 15 of its ports, 8 are commercial and are located in different areas of the country. A new terminal of forestry and bulk products has recently been opened in the port of Montevideo.

The huge supply of pinewood, which comes from certified and managed plantations, is very appealing for companies. The annual availability of this wood exceeds 3,000,000 m3 per year, which surpasses the country’s industrial capacity.
